Not only is it hilarious, it has a great message. To be able to tell a meaningful story about friendship, acceptance and triumph over adversity surrounded by physical comedy and ridiculous characters isn't easy to do. This one nails it!
'Sentiment: Negative âšī¸'
There aren't many movies that straight up make me angry at points but this movie had a couple of moments that enraged me. boy I have not seen such dumb stressful and unfunny situations happen in a comedy in a long time. The movie does have some good moments but they are mostly cancelled out by the bad moments. I feel like a schmuck for watching this garbage to the end. I can see why people would like it but for me it was mostly stress.
'Sentiment: Positive đ'
This movie was actually a lot better than I was expecting. I laughed almost the whole time. Paul Rudd and Steve Carell were the perfect comedic team. Rudd stars as an executive named Tim Conrad. Tim wants a promotion, and is asked to bring an eccentric person with a special talent to a dinner. He soon learns that it's a dinner where rich people make fun of the people they bring. Tim accidentally runs into a man named Barry Speck with his car. He decides to invite him to the dinner. Tim tries to survive Barry's silly antics before the dinner even starts. This is a very fun movie to watch. I highly recommend DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS!!!
